WhatsApp's Face Unlock feature will be available soon (Support Android)
WhatsApp is a popular means of communication for hundreds of millions of people around the world. It is free and simple to use, despite the fact that alternatives such as Telegram already outperform it in terms of features. It's not every day that the Facebook-owned site gets a new feature, but when it does, users are ecstatic. We already know that a slew of new WhatsApp features are on the road, and a report from WABetaInfo claims that another is in the works.
Despite the fact that Whatsapp lacks the functionalities of Telegram, it is nevertheless popular in India, with over 400 million users. Whatsapp, which is owned by Facebook, makes modest adjustments on a regular basis. It adds Dark mode support, several interesting Group admin features, Group invitation link support, and more last year. It also has certain security features such as fingerprint unlock support, improved two-factor authentication, and others.
We believe the new settings will be based on Android's BiometricPrompt API, which allows apps to use both face scanners and fingerprint sensors for biometric identification. However, there is no way to tell right now because the feature is not yet available, not even in the most recent beta release. However, we anticipate that it will be included in a subsequent version fairly soon.
Now, Google has slowly been pushing app developers to switch from the older FingerprintManager API to the newer BiometricPrompt API.
Join Missed Calls:
It also has other fascinating features, such as the ability to join a missed group call. If one of your contacts invites you to join a group call and you are unable to do so at the time, you will be able to join the next time you open WhatsApp if the call has not been terminated!
Take a look at the screenshot below to see how it works.
